Lovely friends came to visit from back home in February and one of the brought a bag of beads that she wanted to transform into a necklace. What a gift! I get to visit with wonderful people AND solve a bead mystery?
I took home the stash and slept on it. I had just read a book from the library about stringing double strand necklaces. I had the materials in my stash. I was ready.
I started off by making this clasp, I wanted a closed loop to attach my beading line onto.
Organized myself using the bead board.
Started stringing the first strand…
Got so swept up in the process that I didn’t take any more pictures until it was done! Took me about 2.5 hours all told.
I also made a sweet pair of matching earrings, just in case.
And she loved it! Even had an outfit to match. What a great experience.
