Walking in the Human Race 2010

We walked this year in the Human Race, a fundraiser for Central Coast non-profits and faith-based organizations.  The course took us along West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz, from Natural Bridges to the Lighthouse.  First the runners took the course, and then the walkers.

We arrived just after 8:30 and met up with the team from my work.  A beautiful sunny and breezy day, it was cooler than usual for this time of year.  We saw a few folks in costume, mostly sea anemones and jellyfish; we also saw roller derby women, folks with bras on the outside of their clothes (for breast cancer awareness and research), lots of dogs on leashes.

Our team of 3 raised almost $500 for our work.  Go us!  Big thanks to Grammie & Grampa, GrammaWashington, AR and Fred, Bada & GrammaChris, Miss Kate and Nate and David!
